Overview
The MPS4200 Series is a family of miniature Ethernet pressure scanners designed for accurate, high-speed pressure measurement in a compact package. These scanners are available in 16, 32, and 64 channel configurations and provide digitally conditioned and temperature compensated pressure data over an Ethernet interface, simplifying integration into modern data acquisition systems. Each unit combines precision sensors with onboard electronics to deliver stable, reliable measurements across a wide range of operating conditions.
The 16 and 32 channel models were the first to introduce the latest electronics platform, offering improved processing capability and accuracies, digital communication, and enhanced reliability compared to previous-generation products. Following this advancement, the original 64-channel MPS4264 (Gen1) was updated to the MPS4264 Gen2, incorporating the same electronics architecture and software features as the smaller units, while maintaining backwards compatability. This update ensures consistent functionality and performance across all channel counts while maintaining the high-density measurement capability of the 64-channel design. Compared to traditional analog pressure scanners, or legacy Scanivalve ZOC modules, the MPS4200 Series eliminates analog signal limitations and external hardware requirements, providing a fully digital solution that reduces complexity and improves system robustness.
The MPS4200 Series is suited for applications requiring precise, multi-point pressure measurements, such as aerospace and automotive testing, wind tunnel studies, and industrial process monitoring. Its combination of compact size, Ethernet connectivity, and advanced electronics makes it a scalable and reliable platform for demanding test environments.

Applications
The MPS4200 is a versatile scanner, designed for a wide range of applications. It was specifically designed for use in wind tunnel and flight test applications where operational conditions are very space constrained and pressures to do not exceed 100psi. It is also ideal for use in small supersonic wind tunnel models, where the scanner can be installed in the model or test article. This allows the tubing lengths from the testing ports to the module to be as short as possible. The user-friendly interface, simple operation, and low overhead requirements also make it ideal for educational facilities, small research and development projects, automotive testing, and other quick tests with large channel counts. Also available for the MPS4264 is a Thermal Control Unit (TCU) designed to protect the MPS in harsh environments and provide temperature control when the module may be subjected to extreme temperatures.
The MPS4200 can be used in applications such as:
- Low pressure wind tunnel studies
- Boundary layer measurements
- Automotive aerodynamic studies (wind tunnel or on-car)
- Wind and building engineering
- Flight performance and testing
- Educational and research facilities
- And many more
