Application

The DSA3217-PTP is versatile and one of our most popular pressure scanners. It is capable of measuring up to 16 gas pressures in various applications. These applications include wind tunnel test for buildings, aerospace and automotive aerodynamic tests, gas turbine testing, compressor testing as well as other turbomachinery tests, flow measurement across an orifice, wind turbine aerodynamic validations, etc.  Available options include a common reference pressure or individual reference. For applications that require a more rugged pressure scanner, Scanivalve’s DSA3218-PTP may be a viable option. The DSA-PTP is the latest edition to the DSA family and maintains legacy compatibility with standard DSA3217 scanners.

Overview

The DSA3200-PTP series pressure systems represent the next generation of multi-point electronic pressure scanning. The DSA3217-PTP Digital Sensor Array, incorporates 16 temperature compensated piezoresistive pressure transducers with a pneumatic calibration valve, RAM, 16 bit A/D converter, and a microprocessor in a compact self contained module. The result is a network-ready Ethernet pressure scanning module.

The microprocessor compensates for temperature changes and performs engineering unit conversion. The microprocessor also controls the actuation of an internal calibration valve to perform on-line zero and multipoint calibrations. This on-line calibration capability virtually eliminates sensor thermal errors with a long term system accuracy of ±.05% FS (5 psi & up).

Pressure data is output in engineering units via Ethernet using TCP/IP, UDP or FTP protocol.

Scanivalve offers an optional multi-range calibration. This allows the DSA modules to have multiple pressure ranges. The calibration valve and transducers are manifolded in groups of 8. The user can specify up to 3 pressure ranges within that group of 8 as long as the ratio for all 3 full scale ranges doesnt exceed 3:1 from highest to lowest range.
